Report: Russia’s budget revenue exceeds expectations in Jan–Feb

MOSCOW, Mar 3 (PRIME) -- Russia’s budget revenue exceeded 5 trillion rubles in January–February, outperforming expectations and growing as compared with the same period of 2022, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said in an interview to RT television channel broadcast late on Thursday.

“I would like to say – no analyst has mentioned this information yet -- that February results show that we received more revenue in January–February than we received in January–February last year although our plans were more frugal for this year. That is why we are publishing these statistics now,” he said.

The budget received more than 5 trillion rubles of tax revenue in January–February, more than in the same period of 2022, and the Federal Treasury is distributing the revenue among different levels of the budget system now, he said.
